priapus: (without a capital "P") synonym for "penis"
What is the Priapus Shot®
The Priapus Shot® or P-Shot® as it is sometimes known, is a completely natural procedure that is non-surgical and painless. It involves Dr. Iannitelli injecting platelet rich plasma (PRP) into the shaft of the penis, once it has been sufficiently numbed. This attracts stem cells and growth factors that kick-start tissue growth in the nerves and blood vessels, that in turn improves the size and quality of your erections. The P-Shot® is for correcting Erectile Dysfunction, especially in men who have lost function due to age, an enlarged prostate, prostate cancer, the after-effects of surgery, drug side effects and other conditions such as diabetes or hypertension. In addition, it is perfect for men who want to optimize their sexual function. There’s no such thing as too good, right!
What Conditions Can The P-Shot® Help
The P-Shot® can be used to treat conditions that affect men. These include:
- Peyronie’s Disease – A condition that causes curved erections.
- Loss of sensitivity in the penis which can adversely affect enjoyment or ability to perform sex.
- Erectile Dysfunction – this is a problem that is far more common than you may expect.
- Sexual health optimization- works synergistically with testosterone optimization.
Some of the noted results patients have experienced after having the P-Shot® include:

- Stronger erections than they have ever had, even when they were at their sexual peak.
- Straighten your penis.

Why The P-Shot® Is Important
Men deserve happier and more satisfying sex lives!
Sexual dysfunction in men is not an insubstantial subject. Sexual dysfunction leads to less confidence, and less confidence can lead to marital problems including divorce and even problems with work. As highlighted in a 2009 American Medical Association article where they said sexual dysfunction in men can lead to “Serious psychological problems”.
Let's be sure that we are agree on one thing, that erections are not just about playing sex as Emerson called it. It is the sex and beauty or the scaffolding of love though relationships. Although sex can develop to a place to where it possibly becomes much less important, there's no doubt that when there are erection problems there can be marriage or relationship problems. Sexual Dysfunction is not an easy conversation for most men so avoidance can become an unhealthy troubling resolution to the problem. Not to worry, Dr Iannitelli has been helping couples for years and is well versed in the solutions to sexual partners of both sexes.
Is Sexual Dysfunction a Common Problem?
It is estimated around 50% of men between the ages of 40 and 70 suffer with some form of function loss, either minimal, moderate or complete loss of function and most of those cases are with blood flow.
So with so many negative side effects why do millions of men still suffer with erectile dysfunction? Many of the current therapies like tablets and injections have side effects that are not tolerable and can be inconvenient for most people. The most important part of this, is that most treatments really do not reverse the disease process and have to be taken permanently. The Priapus Shot does not replace all other therapies, it is a just a very important additional tool that can actually heal damaged tissue be used. Why would you want to proceed with surgery or suffer intolerable side effects when something less invasive might work?
What is PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma?
PRP Platelet Rich Plasma is a treatment derived from a person’s blood platelets. PRP contains a number of growth factors that stimulate cell repair and damage control. PRP has the ability to attract, stimulate, and orchestrate stem cell activity to improve wound healing and naturally rejuvenate skin and other tissues. PRP, which also contains a number of stem cells, has been successfully used throughout a large variety of medical specialties (Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Dental and Facial Reconstruction, Neurosurgery, Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, etc.) for tissue regeneration and repair and to help patients avoid surgery or other risky interventions.
Is Platelet Rich Plasma Safe?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)has been used by veterinarians on elite race horses, dentists and oral surgeons have used it for years, orthopedic surgeons have use it for the national football league and the national basketball league for decades. Finally it has been introduced to the world of sexual health with superb results. People recover faster from hysterectomy after PRP, from liposuction to laser therapies it increases healing and growth. PRP increases the bodies natural way of healing by growth factors that are released by the platelets in your blood. PRP has found a wide array of uses and is backed by a mountain of research. PRP has never been known to cause any serious side effects anywhere it has ever been used.
How long do the P-Shot results last?
The effects from the P-Shot will last you about a year, with some patients even seeing results lasting as long as two years. Many factors go into how long your results will last, and there are even ways to extend the effects even longer.
How to maximize your P-Shot results?
Lifestyle choices like Smoking, Excessive Drinking, and a Poor Diet, can also impact the effectiveness of the P-Shot. To maximize the benefits of the treatment, Dr Iannitelli will explain why it is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle and to follow any post treatment care instructions that she provides you.
The best results occur in men that regularly use a penis pump after the procedure to improve blood flow and encourage improved regeneration of blood vessels and nerves. It can take 6-8 weeks to achieve maximum results.
PRP for the Penis: The Priapus Shot®
How will Dr. Iannitelli Perform the Procedure?
After your consultation:- A numbing lidocaine cream is applied to your penis.
- Blood is drawn from your arm, just like when you have a blood test done.
- Your blood is put in a centrifuge in a specialized FDA kit which separates the red blood cells from the platelets.
- The platelets from your blood are transferred into another tube where a few drops of calcium chloride solution trick the platelets into thinking that they are in the body and the body has been injured.
- The platelets release growth factors into the liquid of the tube.
- The liquid is transferred into a syringe and injected into your penis using a tiny needle in a way that distributes the growth factors throughout the penis.
Can any doctor perform a P- Shot?
NO. The P-Shot is a specific method of isolating and injecting blood factors into the penis for rejuvenation and to improve function.
The P-Shot is protected by the US patent trademark office and only physicianslisted.com are certified to do the procedure. FAQ's
(Answers provided by Dr. Runels directly)
Question: How Does the PRP Work?
Answer: Over the first three days, some of the water ion the solution is absorbed by the body. Then, there is the growth of new tissue that continues for at least 12 weeks–bringing the volume back up to close to where it was with the initial injection.
So, the volume goes up IMMEDIATELY, then down to various degrees but slowly over the next three days. In some people, this decrease in volume is very small, in others it is a more noticeable decrease. In some, I’m seeing growth back to where it was with the initial injection or better. In others, there is growth, but we are not quite back to where we started. Smokers have the least amount of growth. Again, I am speaking mostly from my experience with injecting the face.
Question: How much growth can I expect?
Answer: 10 to 20% increase in length and girth. An inch in length (a little more) and girth were seen in the first two patients in the first month. Girth came first (with the injection), then length (with continued growth).
Question: Where is the injection put?
Answer: Directly into the corpus cavernosum ( the tubes that fill up with blood during an erection) with a small needle and into the head of the penis–in a way almost exactly as done with those who use injections for erectile dysfunction.
Question: What about scar tissue?
Answer: If you look at men who inject 3 to 5 times a week over many years for treatment for erectile dysfunction, there is about a 10% incidence of scar tissue formation. This is with multiple injections for years. With this procedure, there is only one injection, so the chances of scar tissue should be almost nothing. In the face, there has not been a report of any fibrosis or scar tissue formation.
Question: Does it hurt?
Answer: I use a lidocaine cream (a strong version of what you might find in a spray to kill the sunburn pain). It’s the same cream I use on the face before injecting the lips or other areas with Juvederm. The pain is about the same as a normal buttock shot, perhaps less.
