Regenerative Medicine at Advanced Image Med Spa & Elite Wellness Center

What is Regenerative Medicine

Regenerative medicine is an emerging field that focuses on the repair, replacement, or regeneration of cells, and tissues. It is a multidisciplinary approach to the regeneration process. At Advanced Image Med Spa & and Elite Wellness Center Dr. Iannitelli and her team use Amniotic Fluid, Exosomes, and PRP therapies in their regenerative bag of tricks. Scientific research has confirmed that regeneration occurs in patient’s own body by using their own systems to proliferate, differentiate, and replace damaged cells.

Why Amniotic Fluid

Amniotic fluid, the protective liquid surrounding an unborn baby, is normally discarded as medical waste during cesarean section deliveries. However, evidence shows that this fluid is a source of valuable biological material, including multiple growth factors with the potential for use in cell therapy and regenerative medicine.

Studies have shown this fluid to be naturally regenerative with inflammation-reducing properties which are the common underlying factor in all disease states. It may even help reduce the appearance of scars for some patients.

Why Exosomes

Exosomes help with cell to cell communication, delivering messages on how to regenerate certain tissues. The exosomes released by regenerative cells, for example, are potent drivers of healing and repair. Exosomes can kick-start new cell development.

Why Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelets accelerate healing. PRP is effective because it contains a high concentration of growth factors that accelerate healing. All PRP is not created equal which is why we use a very high concentration kit at Advanced Image Med Spa. PRP gives healing a significant boost by depositing a large number of platelets into the injured tissues. PRP releases growth factors that rebuild tissues.

The various growth factors secreted by platelets help tissues heal by:

  • Stimulating the production of blood vessels
  • Promoting cellular division and development
  • Regenerating collagen, ligaments, tendons, bone, fat, and skin
  • Recruiting regenerative cells to the area
  • Preventing degeneration of healthy tissues
  • Releasing proteins that allow new cells to connect and rebuild tissues PRP regulates inflammation.
  • PRP lowers the risk of scarring.
  • PRP has an excellent safety record.
  • PRP doesn't produce any known side effects.

You do not need to worry about what treatment is best for you because Dr. Iannitelli and her team have been extensively trained in all of these products and procedures and will guide you in making a decision to add what regenerative products to your treatment!
