  • Pomegranate – Pomegranates are good for your skin because of its high antioxidant properties. Antioxidants help keep inflammation away, which helps reduce the puffy appearance of your skin. It is also packed with polyphenols which improves blood flow, thereby giving you a rosy and fresh glow.
  • Chocolate – This is the perfect excuse should you need to justify your sweet tooth. Chocolate, particularly dark chocolate, has high levels of flavonols that can improve the skin’s luminosity. It improves circulation and helps hydrate skin.
  • Olive oil – Olive oil is not only good for your body; it’s great for your skin too! It has monounsaturated fatty acids that fight damaging free radicals. It also makes you look younger, particularly when the oil is massaged directly onto your skin. It also reduces inflammation and makes your skin softer. It is also a good alternative to moisturizing your skin, particularly if you use it as lip gloss.
  • Green tea – Not only is green tea a great aid in relaxation, but it can also reduce your breakouts – and reduce your risk of skin cancer. It contains high levels of antioxidants, particularly EGCG which can reduce redness. Aside from keeping your skin from appearing blotchy, it can also reduce inflammation and keep your skin looking supple.
  • Peppers – Surprisingly, women who love yellow and green vegetables have fewer wrinkles, particularly around their eyes. This is due to the carotenoids found in the vegetables which are known to decrease your skin’s sensitivity to the sun. Not only can peppers add spice to your meals, but it can also make your skin look younger!
  • Tomatoes – Do you make it a point to put on sunscreen before you leave the house every day? This is a good practice, but you can improve this by eating lots of tomatoes! The lycopene found in tomatoes enhances your body’s natural SPF – meaning you’ll have added protection against the sun!
